Definitely Recommend!

I fed my Shepherd Carolina Dog cross my own recipe of raw food for the large majority of his life. It was based upon a local butcher's blend of bone marrow, And 3 or 4 different types of organic meats. He sold it by the pound, in frozen bricks. I would thaw the meat, and add other ingredients, which included rice and varied from week to week depending on the availability of seasonal fruits and veggies, seaweeds and whatever else I had on hand. This worked really well for many years, until I moved out of that area and couldn't find a butcher who would provide what we required. (I don't drive).
Unfortunately, I then found myself out of work, and couldn't afford the outrageously priced retail raw dog food.
I very apprehensively, made the choice to switch to dry food...my dog was 11 yrs old by then....(but he will honestly, eat absolutely anything.he Loooooves food!)
Anyway, as I mentioned, I had little money, and chose Canadian Naturals as a reasonably priced and chemical free food. The ingredients listed are very similar to the recipes I was making raw for Frankly.
I switch up the CN flavour from month to month. Although I think his fave is the Whitefish recipe. Frank is now 13, which is a grand old age for a fella his size.
Although, I would return to raw, if it was an option, I find Canadian Naturals, a very acceptable substitute...and to be honest, I never thought that I would find a reasonably priced high quality (and Canadian!) brand to sub in for homemade raw. But here it is!
Thank you CN!

Dog Loves It

Our German Shepard is a very picky eater & we have tried so many foods before this one. She would eat a little bit here, a little bit there & would graze only. With this food, it's the 1st one she absolutely loves. She will eat a full bowl at a time most days which makes us happy too.
