We wanted something with physically small pieces and health-conscious ingredients for our neighborhood crows and the odd stray that might wander through. I'm not sure if pet food with more filler would be more likely to attract rodents, but a side benefit to this one is that the local squirrels don't try to steal it from the cats and crows. Perfectly happy, overall. Us - not the squirrels.
