Why We Include:
Bone-In Chicken: Chicken is a highly nutritious protein for dogs. Chicken provides essential fatty acids and protective monounsaturated fat. Compared to other meats, chicken is high in vitamin A, with significant levels of various vitamin B complexes. Raw bones provide a natural and highly digestible source of calcium. Bone is also required to provide a natural balance to the higher levels of phosphorus found in raw meat. Using a bone-in product allows your dog to exercise their jaw muscles as they crunch down and work on the bone.
Boneless Beef: For the purposes of raw feeding, beef heart is considered a muscle meat, not an organ. Beef heart contains all essential amino acids, zinc, selenium and phosphorus. It has more than double the elastin and collagen than other cuts of meat and is a highly concentrated source of coenzyme Q10. Coenzyme Q10 supports the immune system and allows for higher resistance to certain infections and types of cancer.
Beef Tripe: Tripe is an excellent source of fat, enzymes and vitamins with a perfect balance of phosphorus and calcium. Green tripe has the additional benefit of providing natural digestive enzymes, vitamins, fatty acids and amino acids. It also contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which promote healthy skin and coat. Tripe also has a 1:1 calcium:phosphorus balance, that being said, it is not enough of either to be used as the only source therefore making it an inappropriate calcium source and/or bone substitution.
Organ Meat: Organ meats are rich and full of nutrients! A great, and necessary, addition to every dog’s diet.
